A lack of access to justice leads to issues of poverty, homelessness, ill health, unemployment, broken households, and many other social and personal difficulties.
We believe everyone should have access to justice, yet two thirds of the UK population don’t know how to get legal advice and there are still 14 million people who live in poverty and can’t afford it.
The Access for Justice Foundation works across the country to increase support to vulnerable people through strategic grant making and supporting the valuable work of the advice sector.
Use the form above to give a regular donation to the Access to Justice Foundation. You can also use it to give a one off donation as well.
With the Access to Justice Foundation you can put your unclaimed client accounts to work, helping people safe in the knowledge that they can always be reclaimed when they are needed
They are just like ordinary legal costs, but applicable where a party received free legal representation. If a civil case is won with pro bono help, pro bono costs can be ordered by the court, or included in settlements and must be donated to the Access to Justice Foundation
Whether it’s employee fundraising and engagement, commercial opportunities or one-off events, we’ll work alongside you to develop a mutually-beneficial partnership.
We have lots of events across the country. Come and join one of our legal walks, quizzes, or bake offs near you!
If you would like to leave a legacy that will enable people across the UK to have access to justice, please remember the Access to Justice Foundation in your will. For more information please contact lynnesquires@atjf.org.uk
