Mary Ward Legal Centre
The Mary Ward Legal Centre provides free, independent advice to people who live and work in London to help them access their legal rights and entitlements through specialist advice in housing, welfare benefits and debt and pro bono advice in the areas of employment, housing, small claims, consumer, and family.
Mary Ward Legal Centre applied for funding to sustain and expand their pro bono activity by contributing to the pro bono coordinator’s salary, recruiting volunteers, improving accessibility, increasing disability awareness training, and promoting the service to reach those most in need.
Their pro bono model is built on close collaboration with partner law firms and informed by the lived experiences of service users, ensuring delivery is both responsive and inclusive.
