Speakeasy Law Centre (South Wales Law Centre)

The Speakeasy Law Centre provides free, specialist social welfare legal advice in Cardiff and South Wales. They raise awareness of legal rights by using drop-in clinics in community venues and advising local volunteers on client rights, and they prioritise early, accessible legal support.

Programme: Improving Lives Through Advice 2026
Amount: £299,987
Region: Wales
Year: 2026

With this funding, they plan to build capacity and expand community outreach, improving access across two deprived geographical areas and communities. They aim to develop and extend partnerships with law firms’ pro bono teams and community-based organisations, increasing volunteer training.
