The Access to Justice Foundation is proud to announce that we have established a new community partnership with Legal News Wales, the Welsh legal sector’s first independent and free news publication.
With our long tradition of funding free legal advice providers and charities in Wales, we look forward to sharing our new insights, knowledge, experiences, and campaigns with the country’s legal community through this valuable outlet.
At a time of immense uncertainty amid the ongoing pandemic, worsened still by rising energy prices and the wider cost of living crisis throughout the UK, we plan to improve many more lives across Wales by continuing to generate support, income, interest, and new opportunities by stepping up our engagement with Welsh legal audiences.
We look forward to informing readers about how they can help impact their communities for the better by donating their firm’s residual client account balances as part of our #NoSmallChange campaign, as well as Pro Bono Costs Orders and more.
Clare Carter, our Joint Chief Executive said:
Having yesterday announced the opening of applications for our 2022 Spring Grants Round, the Foundation now urgently needs to secure new funds to continue our vital work supporting free legal advice charities in Wales.
In the last 12 months, our grants have supported a variety of Welsh charities to continue their lifechanging work, including Shelter Cymru, Speakeasy Law Centre, Oasis Cardiff, Asylum Justice, Riverside Advice and Citizens Advice Denbighshire.
With that in mind, we invite the Welsh legal community to stay tuned for updates about our work and initiatives from Legal News Wales and how you, your firm or organisation can help us drive positive changes to people’s lives throughout your communities.
We also encourage our Wales-based supporters to share Legal Wales News stories about the Foundation on their social media channels and help spread the word about our work.
